Dr. Shay Chatterjee O.D

Dr. Chatterjee graduated with Honors in Life Sciences from McMaster University. She then completed her Doctorate of Optometry at the prestigious New England College of Optometry in Boston. During her doctorate, Dr. Chatterjee externed at Boston Medical Center Ophthalmology, South Boston Community Health Center, the Low Vision/TBI clinic at the Buffalo VA Hospital, and the Providence Veterans Affairs Hospital in Rhode Island. Since graduating, Dr. Chatterjee returned to her hometown of Toronto to practice and is thrilled to do so. During her training, she developed extensive skills in the treatment and management of ocular diseases, pre- and post-operative care in LASIK and cataract surgery, dry eye management, and contact lens fittings. She is TPA certified in Ontario and able to prescribe therapeutics.

Dr. Chatterjee’s special clinical interests include dry eye disease and myopia management. She is passionate about serving her local community and equally passionate about serving underprivileged populations abroad. She has traveled to India with Unite for Sight on a mission trip to provide eye care for those less fortunate.

She is an active member of the College of Optometrists of Ontario and the Canadian Association of Optometry (CAO). Dr. Chatterjee is board-certified to practice in both the United States and Canada. When not at the clinic, she can be found traveling, attending musical theater, hiking, and spending time with her dog.
