Dr. Katrina Li O.D. FAAO

Dr. Katrina (Xiaojing) Li, OD, FAAO, earned her Doctor of Optometry degree from the University of Waterloo, graduating on the Dean’s Honours List. She completed her fourth-year externships in Vaughan and Brantford with a focus on ocular disease and vision therapy. During her studies, she received several distinctions, including the Drs. Wensveen and Smith Award in Binocular Vision and Perception and the College of Optometrists in Vision Development (COVD) Award for Excellence in Vision Therapy.

After graduation, Dr. Li pursued a residency in Vision Rehabilitation at the University of Waterloo, where she gained extensive experience caring for patients of all ages with conditions such as low vision, post-stroke syndrome, traumatic brain injury, strabismus, amblyopia, oculomotor dysfunction, and visual information processing disorders. She also served as a clinical instructor, mentoring third- and fourth-year optometry students from 2022 to 2024.

Dr. Li is passionate about providing comprehensive eye exams, low vision assessments, binocular vision evaluations, and developing personalized rehabilitation and vision therapy programs to help patients achieve their goals. She has particular interests in myopia control, pediatric binocular vision dysfunction, and the management of post-concussion and post-stroke vision challenges.

She is a Fellow of the American Academy of Optometry and an active member of the College of Optometrists of Ontario, the Ontario Association of Optometrists, and the Optometric Vision Development & Rehabilitation Association (OVDRA), where she is also working toward fellowship. Fluent in both Mandarin and English, Dr. Li is dedicated to serving diverse patient communities with compassionate, individualized care.
